Stacking the Shelves (93)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Share all of the bookish goodies you got during the week!

It was book club week so of course that means a pile of new books. That's my excuse, at least.

Bought:

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
The Square Root of Summer by Harriet Reuter Hapgood
Nightfall by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski
The Outliers by Kimberly McCreight
Ruined by Amy Tintera
Golden Son by Pierce Brown
The Special Ones by Em Bailey
Morning Star by Pierce Brown

I've been looking forward to Nightfall and Ruined for a while, so I'm eager to get them read. I had been looking forward to ACOMAF too but now that it's here I'm hesitant. Maas's romance choices always bother me. I guess we'll see! I read Pierce Brown's Red Rising for book club and loved it, so I had to grab the rest of the series. One of the other book club members mentioned being disappointed with the series as a whole though. Have you read it? What are your thoughts?

What awesome new titles have you added to your shelves?

  6. I usually only hear good things about Red Rising but I haven't grabbed it yet. I managed to get Court of Must and Fire from the library yesterday. Hope we both live it.
