Stacking the Shelves (83)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. Share all of the bookish goodies you got during the week!

I had a serious talk with myself last week, about important things - like saving money and not adding to my already enormous TBR pile, at least for a little well. Then I went to my fave bookstore for book club...and look how that turned out. There's just no talking to me!

Bought:

My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins
All the Rage by Courtney Summers
Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White
Star Wars: Before the Awakening by Greg Rucka
Falls the Shadow by Stefanie Gaither
Kings Rising by C.S. Pacat
My Sister Rosa by Justine Larbalestier
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler
Star Wars: The Force Awakens by Alan Dean Foster

Review:

Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan (Thank you, HMH Children's Book Group!)

I had only intended to buy Kings Rising because I've been desperately eager for it, but then there were more new books than I'd expected. Likely excuse, right? Fine, I admit I'm addicted! I swear though, I was doing so well resisting the Star Wars books. One, because I'm trying not to fuel my obsession, and two, because everything Star Wars is such a hot commodity right now, they were always too pricey. But then I found them on sale and boom. Resistance is futile...wait, wrong fandom. These were the droids I was looking for? Yeah, okay, I'll just stop.

What goodies did you add to your shelves? Any chance you've failed to resist Star Wars too?!

  7. Yes, Resistance is futile at a bookstore. My new thing now is adult coloring books. I already have so many, yet I keep buying more. I hope you love all of your new books.
