Feature & Follow Friday: I'd Write a Book About...

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers and have them meet you. Be sure to pop over and meet this week's featured bloggers!

If you could write a book what would it be about?

Likely it'd be a contemporary YA and full of romance. I'm a sucker for a cutesy romance. The leading lady would be in a wheelchair because that's what I've always wanted to read. I'd be interested to write fantasy too...if I could actually write a book, that is. I had this dream once that has stuck with me and I've daydreamed it into a mostly full story. It's an M/M fantasy about an alternate world, soul mates, bonding, a villain that wants to destroy it all. As they do. It'd be terrible, honestly. Hence my not being a writer! But daydreaming stories is what I do when my brain won't settle and over the years there's been a few.

What would you write about? Thanks for following!

  1. If you write that book about the girl in the wheelchair, let me know and I'll be sure to read it! And since we both love contemporary romance novels, I'm a new follower via Bloglovin' :)

  3. Villains. Villains are good! After we started our fiction unit and talked about protagonists and antagonists, all my 6th graders wanted to do was talk about villains. haha

    1. Yes! My 6 year old nephew always loves the villains! We just saw the new Star Wars together and the next day he wanted all the Kylo Ren toys in existence, haha!

  4. Although I much prefer paranormal to contemporary romance, I do like cute contemporary YA romance! And you already know I love fantasy, as well!

It would be nice to read about someone in a wheelchair, as we need more diversity in fiction!

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier! Happy Friday!! : )

    1. I really enjoy paranormal and fantasy too, but contemporary romance is my fave, I think.

We definitely always need more diversity in books. I've never read one with someone in a wheelchair, so I'd love to for sure. I find in TV and movies if an MC is in a wheelchair a miracle cure soon follows, which disappoints me. Except in the case of Professor X, lol! ;-)

      Thanks, Maria!

  5. I've read an NA book with a guy in a wheelchair and loved it, so I'd definitely check out your YA story with a girl in a wheelchair. There isn't much of that in books, so I'd like to see more of it too.

  6. Those sound like good reads! I love a good fantasy! But yet...I find I can't quite write one! LOL. The world-building part feels so overwhelming to me. That's why I stick with writing my paranormals. Because it's already our world, just throw in a vampire or werewolf, some witches, and eventually a demon or two! LOL!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. Good on you for writing at all! That's fantastic. :-D I could never write a book, mostly because as you said, the world building can be overwhelming. Plus having enough story to make an entire book and creating distinctive characters...yeah, I don't have the talent for that, haha! Daydreaming stories is easy because I can see it in my head, I don't have to try and put it all into words! ;-)

Thanks, Jessica! I hope you have an awesome weekend!

  7. I'm such a daydreamer as well, which has led to numerous novel ideas that haven't really gone anywhere... yet! Maybe someday right? I'd love to read a romance with the girl in a wheelchair, it's not seen enough in the books I know of
    Also I'm a new GFC follower :)

    1. Yay, another daydreamer! I'm constantly creating story ideas through daydreams, but unfortunately I'll never put them into words. I just don't have the talent to be a writer, I don't think. I hope you turn yours into books someday! If you do, I'd love to read them. :-D

I don't think I've ever read a book that has a character in a wheelchair - at least, none that are coming to mind. I'd love to see more of them.

      Thanks for following, Anna! :-D

  8. I'm like you. I have so many ideas I want to write, but I never do it. But if you ever do get around to making one of them work, I hope I get the chance to read it. :)

  10. Daydreaming of stories for years has lead to me to begin to write.Don't dismiss the idea of writing you never know what the future holds you may just end up putting one of those stories/daydreams down on paper.I got tired of all those stories rattling around in my head I finally had to put some to paper. The first few didn't get past a few pages but eventually one became the start of a series in progress.
