Something About Love by Elana Johnson (eBook)

A very quiet week on the new book front.

Last weekend I attended Oz Comic Con and had a blast! Thought I'd share a few photos. On the Saturday I met some actors - Jed Brophy, Rachel Luttrell, Christopher Heyerdahl, Mark Sheppard, Jim Beaver, Rachel Nichols and Kris Holden-Reid. My photo op with Mark Sheppard and Jim Beaver is my favourite, below is just a snapshot of the actual photo. Sheppard was playing up his many characters less than pleasant attitudes by shouting at me to hurry up and get to my spot before then cuddling up to me. Fun! He also played up the rudeness at his panel with Jim Beaver, which was just hilarious. I also attended the Stargate: Atlantis panel that featured Rachel Luttrell and David Hewlett, and I laughed so hard I cried. Hewlett is always funny and it was great seeing him at another con, though I didn't get his photo op or autograph this time. My favourite autograph is from Kris Holden-Reid. I babbled at him for about 5 minutes about how I still think of him as Young Ivanhoe whenever I see him in another show or movie and that apparently blew his mind. It was his first acting role and so I've been declared his first fan...yeah, I'm a little embarrassing. I included the 20 year old VHS that I still own - and told him about - in the snapshot just so you can appreciate how much of a nerd I am. And proud of it! Most of the time. Ha!

On the Sunday I cosplayed for the first time ever! I went as Sadness from Inside Out while a friend of mine - who cosplays a lot and talked me into it - went as Disgust. She was awesome, always staying in character and making people laugh. I pouted a lot and got called cute or adorable many, many times. Below are some of the professional shots taken of us. It was definitely an experience!
