Feature & Follow Friday: Movie I Wish Was A Book

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers and have them meet you. Be sure to pop over and meet this week's featured bloggers!

Name a movie you would have loved to read as a book (that is not a book already, obviously).

A lot of my favourite movies were already adapted from books, but I immediately thought of these two. I'd list these as Top 5 Faves and I would have loved to read a book version of them. Ten Inch Hero is the ultimate contemporary romance and any time I watch Labyrinth I always wish the book Sarah quotes from was real! Oh yes, if these movies had been books I would have them on my shelf. They'd be much read favourites and when the movie adaptations were announced I would've been both thrilled and despairing, as we always are when books get made into movies, in the hopes they get it somewhat right.

What movie(s) do you wish had been books?

  1. Oh "the Labyrinth"! I love that movie! I wouldn't mind a remake of that movie with more romance and action scenes!

Here's an online comic on DeviantArt in which the Goblin King and the Phanotm of the Opera become roommates! http://asherhyder.deviantart.com/art/What-Does-He-Have-15766979

    1. I think I'd be wary because of how much I love the original, but I do see your point - more romance and action could make it more grown up, like many of it's fans are now. ;-) The question is, who would take over for David Bowie?!

Thanks for sharing the online comic! That's just awesome! :-D

  8. You know what, for some reason I was convinced Labrynith was a book before it was a movie. Huh. I am so confused now.

    1. Maybe because of the book referenced in the movie? I used to think that too, and even as I posted this I double checked, just in case! There's a manga series out now, I was recently told, but I'm pretty sure the movie's not adapted from a book.
