Top Ten Fairytale Retellings I've Read and Want to Read

Top Five Fairytale Retellings I've Read

A Court of Thorns and Roses Ash A Long, Long Sleep Cinder Red

  • A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - A Beauty and the Beast retelling full of all the tension - good, bad, and sexy.
  • Ash by Malinda Lo - A lyrical Cinderella retelling with a twist.
  • A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan - A futuristic Sleeping Beauty retelling.
  • Cinder by Marissa Meyer - A cyborg Cinderella! Need I say more?
  • Red by Alyxandra Harvey - A mythological Red Riding Hood retelling.

Top Five Fairytale Retellings I Want to Read

Scarlet Tiger Lily Briar Rose Sisters Red Splintered

  • The rest of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer - Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Snow White? Um, yes.
  • Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson - A Peter Pan retelling, so not exactly a fairytale, but it works. I've heard amazing things.
  • Briar Rose by Jana Oliver - A Sleeping Beauty retelling that has a lot of praise. Must read it soon!
  • Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce - A Red Riding Hood retelling that has been sitting on my shelf for I can't tell you how long. Probably about time I read it, yes?
  • Splintered by A.G. Howard - again, not a fairytale really, as it's an Alice in Wonderland retelling, but I think it deserves a spot.
I honestly believed I'd read a lot more fairytale retellings, but if I did, I'm not remembering them right now. I think I just need to get a move on reading through my TBR pile!

What are your favourite fairytale retellings?
