Top Ten Books On My Syllabus If I Taught Awesome Secondary Characters 101

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme started over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they have a specific topic for a top ten list. Link up, visit some new blogs and add to your ever growing TBR list! This week's topic is:

Top Ten Books On My Syllabus If I Taught Awesome Secondary Characters 101

Harry Potter LotR Ticker The Hunger Games ACOTAR
My Life Next Door The Perks of Being a Wallflower TFIOS Mosquitoland The Day After Forever

I find that often the secondary characters bring sass and humour to the story, which I just adore. Sometimes it's even heart-wrenching emotion, like with Hazel's parents in The Fault in Our Stars. Awesome secondary characters just make a story that little bit more for me.

What syllabus have you created this week? What books with awesome secondary characters would you add to this list?

  3. I love secondary characters. Usually my favorite characters are the sidekicks, the comic relief, and the voice of reason. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and The Hunger Games have some great secondary characters. Great list!

    1. Thanks, Lauren. I went through a few different ideas before I hit on this one. I was trying to pick something not specifically genre related. :-)

  8. I love this topic choice! The Hunger Games and ACOTAR definitely have some great secondary characters as does Harry Potter (I'm actually currently reading ACOTAR).
