Feature & Follow Friday: 3 Wishes

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers and have them meet you. Be sure to pop over and meet this week's featured bloggers!

If you could have 3 wishes granted, what would they be?

  • To no longer have Spinal Muscular Atrophy & be in a wheelchair - My disability has shaped my life and who I am as a person. I love my life and I like who I am. I'm very lucky and happy. But as we're talking fantasy wishes, yes, I would wish to not be disabled. My life would be different, in ways I can't help but want. I could travel without the need for carers and equipment, I could have my own place, I could work...I think I have a very adventurous and independent spirit and I can only imagine what I'd get up to!
  • To have money to spare - It's an ordinary sort of wish, wanting to be rich. If I had the money, I'd renovate the house for my Mum and landscape the yard for my Dad. I'd travel the world and have an endless supply of books. I'd be like J.K. Rowling and donate so much money to charity that I'd stay off those 'obscenely rich' lists!
  • To have the ability to teleport - Just to be extra fanciful! I love traveling, but hate the actual traveling. And the cost of flights, hotels, etc. If I could teleport, my need for the above money would be a little less, as I could just pop over to wherever I'd like in the blink of an eye. Spend a day, be home in no time to sleep, and start all over again the next day!

What would you wish for? Wishing you a happy Friday and a great weekend!

  3. Your first wish seems quite important and I respect you for still feeling lucky and happy despite the disability. So many would throw in the towel and give up, but you have a beautiful blog and won't let life bring you down! And yes, it would be great to have money to spare :P New follower!

  5. Great wishes! I'm glad you're still enjoying life despite your disability, but I really wish that first wish could happen for you. You seem like a really spirited person and it would be interesting to "see what you could get up to" lol. I really like your third wish too! I hate airplanes, and if I could just teleport myself to say, the bahamas or something, without having to get on a plane...that would make me sooooo happy! I might even be able to visit Australia or New Zeland! Great wishes! Thanks for visiting Bookworm Book Reviews! I'm following now via email. Happy reading!

    1. Thank you, Kimberly, I truly appreciate that. :-D I can certainly get up to enough with the wheelchair, so without it would definitely be interesting, haha! ;-) Yes, if only I never had to travel by plane again! Yuck. I'd seriously go everywhere if I could teleport. New Zealand would be one of my first stops! :-)

  6. I wish I were a genie, so I could grant your first wish, which is the most important one. However, I do admire your very positive attitude despite your situation. You're a very special person, and I am honored to know you!

I would love to have money to spare, myself. And WOW, being able to teleport? ABSOLUTELY!! No more driving hassles, or not being able to find a parking spot. Lol. I hope scientists come up with a Star Trek transporter soon!

    Hope you're having a WONDERFUL Friday!! : )

    1. Thank you, Maria, that's beautiful and I really appreciate you saying so. Love and support just like that makes it that much easier to be positive. Truly, thank you. :-D

There's just so much money can do. I think if we had just enough we wouldn't need to be making wishes, lol! ;-) My fingers are definitely crossed for teleporting - and I always think about Star Trek too, haha! Traveling is just too much of a pain!

Thanks, Maria, I hope you're having a fantastic week!
