- Hermione from the Harry Potter series - Of course Hermione tops my list. She's the greatest book nerd ever!
- Cath from Fangirl - I think most of us can see a bit of ourselves in Cath. She adores the Simon Snow series and is a talented writer.
- Sam from The Wolves of Mercy Falls series - Oh, Sam. He was actually one of the first book nerds I thought of. He makes me want to read more poetry. And it's been a while, but I think he worked in a bookstore?
- Liesel from The Book Thief - Liesel's love of books and stories is inspiring.
- Matilda from Roald Dahl's Matilda - There cannot be a list of book nerds that does not include Matilda, right?

- Aza & Jason from Magonia - These two are very well read and so full of knowledge. Reading Magonia I came to the conclusion that I need to read so much more.
- Mary Anne from The Babysitter's Club - This is going a long ways back in my memory, but I'm pretty sure Mary Anne is a book nerd? Stacey was always my fave because of her love of fashion but if I were to reread this series now, it'd likely be Mary Anne. Well, all of the Babysitter's are awesome, right?
- Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice - I'm still waiting for my Mr Darcy to come along and spy me reading...
- Eva from Kissing in America - Eva sprang to mind for her love of romance novels. That was me in high school...okay, and today, still. Romance forever!
- Katy from the Lux series - I'm including Katy because I adored her in Obsidian, with her love of reading and her being a book blogger. Granted, I'm not the biggest of her fans anymore, but she still rocks as a book nerd.
So which fictional book nerds made your list? Let me know so I can read about any I haven't been introduced to yet!
Other than the three we have in common (Hermione, Liesel and Matilda) I haven't read any of these yet. However, I do have copies of both Fangirl and Pride & Prejudice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me!

Hermione, Liesel & Matilda are definitely some of the popular book nerds this week. Not surprising, they're quite iconic for their love of books! I hope you enjoy Fangirl and Pride & Prejudice when you read them. Thanks, Lauren. :-D
DeleteWoo we got a few of the same characters :) I thought Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones was worth a mention but I don't know if you've read that.. Great list :D
ReplyDeleteHere’s my list if you want to have a look :)
Laura @ What's Hot?
Thanks, Laura! I was surprised to see Tyrion on a few lists, I wasn't aware he was a book nerd! I haven't read GoT - I tried, but just couldn't get into it. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteCath and Katy are on my list as well! I haven't read any of the others but Magonia and Kissing in America are on my TBR :D
ReplyDeleteI loved, loved, loved Magonia and enjoyed Kissing in America. It wasn't quite what I'd hoped for, but it had its moments. I hope you enjoy them both! Thanks for stopping by, Christy. :-D
DeleteI completely agree! A bookish list without Matilda just seems wrong :-) Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does! Thanks, Chrissi. :-D
DeleteHermione! I love her and I love that she's on so many list today! It's a great thing and she's my favorite book nerd ever! Liesel is another good one, I love that she steals books. We have a fair few in common. :D Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT.
Alex @ The Book Banner
I agree Alex, it was awesome seeing so many lists including characters I love. :-D Liesel is fierce! Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteI completely forgot about Obsidian! Probably because I also kind of fell out of love with that series. Great list!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I almost didn't include Katy because it felt weird putting her on a list when I'm not so interested in the series anymore, lol. But she certainly is a book nerd, and being a book blogger too sealed it for me. ;-) Thanks, Megz!
DeleteIt's been AGES since I read the series--but I remember adoring Katy when I read the Obsidian series. Because a) she's a reader, and b) A BOOK BLOGGER. I mean, how often do you see THAT in fiction!? I completely forgot about her though when writing my list.
ReplyDeleteExactly! It's not just that she's a bookworm but that she's a blogger! It's awesome! :-D We definitely need more books about book bloggers. ;-) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLizzie Bennet! Love seeing her on any of these lists. She is an amazing character - and what a cute caption you included. Waiting for Mr. Darcy... love that. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting Dreaming Under the Same Moon. Appreciate it. :)
I couldn't leave Lizzie off such a list, she's just too great a character. :-D And thanks, haha! I couldn't resist the Mr. Darcy bit. ;-) Thanks for stopping by, Rissi.
DeleteYES! Katy is the ultimate bookworm! She's just so fun and her love of books and blogging is really contagious :D
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday
It is! It's what I adored about her when I read Obsidian. ;-D Thanks, Maria.
DeleteMan, I should of thought of Mary Anne! I use to read a lot of The Babysitter's Club! Good list and thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI was wracking my brain for characters and trying to think of some from way back, that might not be on as many lists, when I remembered Mary Anne. :-) Thanks, KayCee!
DeleteHow could I miss Pride and Prejudice on my list?
ReplyDeleteI followed you! :)
I felt that way about a few other characters too. There's certainly more book nerds in fiction than I initially realised! ;-) Thanks for following, Ilina.
DeleteOMG YES to Mary Anne! I was just thinking about her when I read a children's book on someone else's list- I should have added her, but I LOVE that you did!! Totally forgot about Aza and Jason too! Fabulous list!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
Aw, thanks, Shannon! I'm surprised I remembered Mary Anne to be honest! There's definitely a few characters I missed too. :-) Thanks for stopping by!
