Feature & Follow Friday: Dream Library

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers and have them meet you. Be sure to pop over and meet this week's featured bloggers!

If you had the money what would your own personal library look like? What would be in it? What colours, decorations, etc, would you put in it?

This is an extreme dream library, imagining I have all the money...and I'm pretty sure quite a few of us are going to answer this the same! My dream library is definitely the Beast's library from Beauty & the Beast. I give a dreamy sigh every time I see that library. It's beautiful...and all that space for books! *grabby hands* I'd probably change a few things. I like the ornate look, but I'd incorporate more hot pink and turquoise (much like my book nook, pictured left) and instead of ladders to reach all the different levels I'd need some sort of elevator. I'm sure if I had the money to build a library like that in the first place, I could afford to tech it up a little to make it much more wheelchair friendly. I'd have comfy chairs for other people, but all I'd really need is a desk. In front of a huge window overlooking a gorgeous view, yes. There would also be shelf space for more than just books. I need some for all the Lego and Pop! figurines and other nik-naks I collect. Oh, if only it could come true! My family often jokes that I'll have to build an extension just for my books...honestly, I think it's almost time for the joking to stop and the building to start!

What would your perfect library look like?

  1. Gorgeous! And my family says that one day there will be no room to sleep, eat or do anything, literally thrown out of the house because of my expanding book shelves!! :-D Do check out my FF: http://bookstopcorner.blogspot.in/2015/07/feature-follow-17-my-ideal-library.html

    1. Sounds like my family and yours have a lot in common, haha! Maybe they'll need to find a house together so we can fill our two with books. ;-)

  6. That is indeed a beautiful library!! Several blogs participating this week have picked it, and I totally agree that it's grand, beautiful, and totally magnificent!! That Beast sure has great taste! Lol. But seriously, I do love it! I think your high-tech changes are perfect. I like staircases, but only for ornamentation! Lol. Happy Friday!! : )

    1. It is simply perfect, right? It's part of the reason I always hoped to be whisked away by my own Beast as a child. Just for the library, haha! :-) I agree, the stairs are too pretty to get rid of entirely so they can remain as decoration! :-D Thanks for stopping by, Maria.
