Feature & Follow Friday: Be a Character for a Day

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers and have them meet you. Be sure to pop over and meet this week's featured bloggers!

If you could step into one characters shoes (in a book) and be them for a day who would it be and why? Also, if you want to be creative, what scene?

My immediate response is ANY Harry Potter character so that I can explore Hogwarts and experience magic lessons! Nothing wrong with that, right? Maybe Hermione when she punches Draco. Or Harry when he takes his first flying lesson. Or Ron when he goes to the Quidditch World Cup. Or Luna when she...well, when she's just Luna. But that's an easy answer. And a short one. So I'm trying to think of some different, less immediate ideas. Hmmm. I could handle being Mary from The Agency for a day. I'm fascinated by the Victorian era, and Mary is just so strong and I could be a detective! Okay, yes, and kiss James. Hey, maybe I could live her wedding to James seeing as we just missed out on that. Or more recently I became enamoured with Magonia and Since You've Been Gone. I'd adore spending a day as Aza on the Magonian ship or fulfilling a dare from Sloane's list as Emily. Maybe the 'dance until dawn' one as I always loved dancing as a child and I miss it. I'd certainly be happy to be Bilbo Baggins for a day, on his adventure with the dwarves. I am nicknamed Baggins, after all! The barrel run down the river would be fun or even facing off against Smaug. Plenty of choices for what character I could be for a day. I'm even sure I can go on...and on. That's why books are often escapes, right?

What character would you love to be for a day and why? Is there something in particular you'd like to experience as them?
