Top Ten Books I Think Make Great Beach Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme started over at The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they have a specific topic for a top ten list. Link up, visit some new blogs and add to your ever growing TBR list! This week's topic is:

Top Ten Books I Think Make Great Beach Read

Seeing as how we're going into winter here in Australia, I decided to do the other part of this week's topic. Summer for me is too far away to be thinking about anticipated reads!

I think of beach reads, I think of contemporary. These are the ones that came to mind, in no particular order. Plus Magonia because I am in love with it and it's an easy read, and Anna Dressed in Blood because I read it late at night in the dark...and no. Best to read it in the bright light of full sun.

What books made your list?

  1. Awesome list....... I really need to read both Magonia (a new addition to my TBR pile!) AND Anna Dressed In Blood (I've has it for ages but still haven't read it!) and I think I'd read them beach bag reads too.

    1. Both Magonia and Anna Dressed in Blood have that easy read appeal to them, which is why I think they make good beach reads. I hope you get to read them soon!

  2. You're the second list to have Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen so I am definitely going to have to check this one out (I haven't read anything by Sarah Dessen yet).
I love Stephanie Perkins writing so I hope you enjoy Isla and I'd love to see your review for Magonia as it sounds really interesting!

    Happy Reading!

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a great one! Have you seen the movie? It's been a long while since I read the book, so I'm not sure how right they got it, but I loved the movie just as it is. Awkwardly perfect. :-)

    1. I agree, Since You've Been Gone was fantastic. I'm so glad it sparked that epiphany for you! I'm slightly biased though - I adore contemporary romance. ;-) Which may be evident in my list...

    1. I loved the movie! I'm sure you'll enjoy the book too. I know I did, but honestly, it's been a few years now, so I don't remember how accurate the movie got it. I definitely recommend Anna, it's one of my faves. I hope you enjoy them when you get the chance! Thanks, JJ.

  9. I read Anna Dressed in Blood and liked it, but lost the rest of the series in my TBR somewhere. I will have to do a reread and then continue on. Happy summer reading!

    1. Thanks, Suzi Q! :-D Anna only has the one sequel, Girl of Nightmares, so I hope you get the chance to read it soon. I didn't love it as much as Anna, but it's still great. Happy reading to you too!
