How do you organise your books? Either at home on your bookshelves, or on your reading device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads, etc?
I answered a question like this recently as part of a Bout of Books Read-a-Thon Challenge, and I'm a little ashamed to have to admit it again - there is no organisation of my books. Anywhere, really. I mean, I try to keep books in a series and by the same author together, but on looking at my bookshelves...it's only a little true. My bookshelves are all giant TBR piles, and books go where they fit, honestly. Books that I've read - and kept - are piled together on a top shelf. Well, some are. On my iPad my Kindle eBooks are arranged by 'Recent', and on Goodreads I have the shelves originally provided - Currently Reading, Read, or To Read. That's it. I may be the Queen of Unorganised. In my defence, I can't exactly organise my own bookshelves, as I'm in a wheelchair and most of the shelves are out of my reach. Go, go Gadget arms! Yeah, it never works, more's the pity. I'd like to think I'd have my shelves organised by author or colour if I could...but truthfully, that's probably a dream. My shelves aren't just full of books but all sorts of nik-naks, so I doubt I'd ever take on the battle of organising them!
A little visual show and tell for you. These are just part of two of my bookshelves, there's another 2 and a bit yet. Yep.
