Feature & Follow Friday: BEA & Featured Blogger

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers and have them meet you. Be sure to pop over and meet this week's featured bloggers!

This week those featured bloggers are Bursting Books Reviews and...can you guess?

That's right! ME! I'm so excited to be a featured blogger this week, so please head over to Parajunkee's View and check out my interview.

In the meantime, the question of the week:

Have you ever been to BEA? If not, what’s stopping you? If you have, what was your best experience there?

Unfortunately, no, I haven't been to BEA. Living in Australia makes it a little too expensive of an option. But hey, maybe one day. I'd like to, that's for sure. So many books and so many authors & bloggers to meet. It would be brilliant! I often consider just moving to the USA...BEA, ComicCon, Broadway...anyway, I digress. Ahem.

Have you been to BEA? If not, do you want to? And if yes, how much fun did you have? Tell me all!

Once again, thanks to Alison and Rachel for having me as a featured blogger this week! And welcome to Pinker Than Fiction Reviews. I hope you enjoy your stay!

    1. I went to San Diego Comic Con way back in 2008 when I visited the States. But I wasn't even aware of BEA back then, didn't start blogging til a couple years later. I'd love to be able to go to Comic Con every year. And BEA. Yeah, I need to move. ;-) I hope you make it to BEA soon!

  5. Congrats on being featured today, Baggins!

I haven't been to BEA yet, either, but one day, I' sure I'll be able to make it - it IS on my bucket-list after all.

This year, I am going to another book convention, though, RT in Dallas. I'm going there mostly because my blogger bestie is going - and I definitely think I'm more excited about meeting fellow bloggers than the authors.

    Have a fantastic Friday!

    1. Thank you so much! I'm sure you will make it if it's on your bucket list. I'll have to start one and add BEA to it too! I hope you have a blast at RT - I think meeting bloggers is exciting because there's more potential for long lasting friendships. :-)

    1. So true! I've certainly not seen much of Australia. I guess it's the whole appeal of another country, I think of seeing more of it. :-) Thanks for following.

  11. I can understand not going. It would definitely be expensive if you are international. It's tough enough for me and I can drive there. It's worth it though. Such a great experience.

Happy FF! Congrats on your feature. Old follower.

Are there any cons based in Austrailia? I know there's a couple of fan cons, but I've never seen any book based ones talked about? Saying that though, if your the other side of the country to Sydney it's about as much use as living in Texas or San Fran for BEA.
    We need teleportation and quick!

    1. Thanks, Kate!

We have pop culture cons which I love. Sometimes they have authors, but mostly TV, movie and comic artist celebrities. I don't know of any book related cons here though. I actually live in Brisbane, thankfully. I used to live in the Northern Territory though, and you're absolutely right. Traveling across country is just as difficult. Even Brisbane to Sydney can be too much what with hotel costs and such. Anytime I'm asked what superpower I'd want I answer teleportation!! Give it to me!! ;-)

I haven't been either. I'm definitely closer than you are but not close enough! Maybe I'll go for a vacation someday. I would be amazing I'm sure. I have a couple smaller cons near me that I'm going to this year though.
