Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kick ass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?

I think the common characteristics I go for are a little broad, but basically it's a selection of well developed characters, emotion, world building, and a romance that makes my heart skip a beat. It's not necessarily all at once, but maybe a couple or even just one, if done really well. I want to connect with the characters and story, get lost in the emotion of it. If it effects me in some way, then a book is usually a winner!

How about you? Do your favourite books share certain characteristics?

Just a side note, I want to apologise for my blog being quiet this last week. Real life fried my brain, but I'm here again and ready to get back into it! Thanks for sticking with me!

  1. I agree. As long as the book is well-written and leaves a good impression, then it has 'favorite' potential. LOL

  2. Hi! New follower.

You know, your response had made me stop to think. You might be right! I think that it's the whirl of various emotions that a book illicits in me that make it a favourite. I hadn't even considered that.

You can find my FF here.

    Have a great weekend!
