Teaser Tuesday! (31)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give away too much! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

"From his perch behind the clock, Hugo could see everything. He rubbed his fingers nervously against the small notebook in his pocket and told himself to be patient." p. 46

First 2 sentences of the book, 46 pages in! I am loving the format of this one, it's so interesting. All that artwork! Amazing! I'm doing my best to read the book versions before I see the movie versions, and as I can't wait to see this movie in a couple of weeks, I have to get a move on!

What's your teaser?

  1. I've always wanted to read this. I have Wonderstruck here, maybe I'll start with that.

    1. I recently got Wonderstruck because I liked Hugo so much...I hope you've enjoyed it if you did read it. And I definitely recommend Hugo!

  2. Great teaser! I really need to read The Invention of Hugo Cabret (my daughter's copy is sitting on my nightstand waiting), but I'll probably see the movie first and regret it. My TT is here: http://wcs53.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/teaser-tuesdays-jan-3/

    1. Thanks so much! I hope you got the chance to read it, even if you did see the movie first! There were some differences, but I also loved the movie. :-D
