Follow Me Friday! (20)

Follow Me Friday
is hosted by Parajunkee over at Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This is a chance to get to know fellow book bloggers as well as follow their blogs. If you'd like to join in the fun, create your own Follow Me Friday post, then visit this week's Follow Friday posts (here and here) and sign the linky. Don't forget to also follow this week's featured bloggers!

Q: When you’ve read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

I am such a book hoarder! I usually keep them, and so any spare space I have is covered in books (which is why my brother built more shelves for me, pictured here! Actually, they're full now...) I still have heaps in boxes from moving until I get even more shelf space! There are rare times, when I might not have adored the book or it didn't leave a lasting impression, that I don't keep them. In that case I give them away, usually to a charity like Lifeline, o
r donate them to my old library. I actually just went through some of my piles of books and am sending them a package next week! But if I liked or loved the book, just enough that I can tell someone "oh yes, I remember it, it's about..." or if it's part of a continuing series, then I definitely keep it.

How about you? What do you do with books once you've read them?

  8. @Chey Thanks so much, Chey! I have a feeling I'm going to have to cover every single wall in shelves one day, with the way my books just keep piling up! Glad to know I'm not the only one running out of space! ;-)
