Waiting on Wednesday (23)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine! It spotlights soon to be released books that can't come quick enough!

This week's choice is...

Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg!

From the fantastic author of The Lonely Hearts Club and Prom & Prejudice comes a story of all the drama and comedy of four friends who grow into themselves at a performing arts high school.

Emme, Sophie, Ethan, and Carter are seniors at a performing arts school, getting ready for their Senior Showcase recital, where the pressure is on to appeal to colleges, dance academies, and professionals in show business. For Sophie, a singer, it's been great to be friends with Emme, who composes songs for her, and to date Carter, soap opera heartthrob who gets plenty of press coverage. Emme and Ethan have been in a band together through all four years of school, but wonder if they could be more than just friends and bandmates. Carter has been acting since he was a baby, and isn't sure how to admit that he'd rather paint than perform. The Senior Showcase is going to make or break each of the four, in a funny, touching, spectacular finale that only Elizabeth Eulberg could perform. (summary from Goodreads)

This sounds like both a fun and emotional read, and I'm sure I'm going to love it! I adored Eulberg's The Lonely Hearts Club and plan to read her Prom & Prejudice soon.

Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg will be published 1 April 2012.

There's a few coming out in April...looks like it'll be a great month! What are you waiting on?

  3. Ohhh another book I haven't hear of! Thanks! I'm adding it to my GR wishlist right now. This one initially reminded me of Step Up (with the performing arts school). I'm stoked it has a couple of character's stories intertwined together. I'll definitely be reading this one when it comes out.

  4. Is it bad to wish it said she wanted to make the band big, instead of liking a band mate?

  7. @Kristan Glad to help! I only just discovered it myself, and I really like the sounds of it. Especially the multiple characters storyline with a focus on more than the one performing arts! I love Step Up and others like it, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it!
