Q. Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep on revisiting it?

If you've been following any of my previous Follow Me Friday posts, you're gonna know exactly what my answer is right say it with me! 1...2...3...HARRY POTTER! But when it's true, it's true, so what else I can I say? I must've re-read the HP series about...7 times? And that's only so far! I reckon that's about right, and that it's even on the low side compared to many! I really, truly love this series. It's my favourite. I'm sure I don't have to tell you what it's about, but why do I keep revisiting it? Well, I suppose it's just that it never gets old. Every time I read it it's like I'm reading them for the first time. Even knowing the endings I still experience the same whirlwind of emotions. I still laugh in the same spots, I still cry at the same moments. Then sometimes something new or different stands out to me, and that changes my experience. The Harry Potter series simply doesn't get old for me. It's one of a kind too because I honestly cannot recall ever rereading another series. I've revisted some stand alone books, but never a series. I've been wracking my brain and even questioned my Mum, but nope, nothing. However, I do plan to reread some series in the future. I want to reread The Hunger Games before March, and one day I hope to reread John Marsden's Tomorrow, When the War Began series as I enjoyed it so much in high school. But for now, there's only HP, and I doubt there'll ever be a series I can reread quite as much as it.

Do you have a favourite series you can read again and again?

  1. Hehe! Harry Potter is a popular one! But I understand (and actually share!) why it is. Too cool, really. It's the world I'd have liked to live in, as well!
